The aim of this squad is to train hard over winter and be ready for the track and feild for 2011. To get athletes in this squad as fit and strong as possible and to excel there fitness and strength over winter. Therefore training will be different, structured, focused and may be demanding at times. But there's a good balance or different training so will fit in well for anybody thats looking to improve or can regulary attend the sessions. There is currently a sprints and endurance squad. The majority of athletes are welcome to come and try, however there are strict conditions to be met if training with this group, as shown below. The lead coach will be looking for great commitment and dedication from all the individuals in the squad.
Sessions will include Endurance, Speed and Speed Enduance training for both sprinters and endurance groups suited to their needs. Focused core sessions for both groups. Demanding Circuit training sessions. Technique sessions, plyometrics, gym sessions for Sprinters. Strength and Conditioning for both groups.
